NC central committee meeting today

Kathmandu, Aug 29  The Nepali Congress has called a meeting of its central working committee today to discuss the contemporary political situation and take stock of its sister, well-wisher and public relations committees. The meeting is taking place at 2 pm at the party central office. The meeting was convened for Wednesday but was postponed for today after party senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel became ill. However, the party’s central office-bearers’ meeting was held at the party office on Wednesday which discussed on the preparations related the party’s second phase awareness campaign and the selection of representatives for the campaign, among other issues. The NC is holding the second phase awareness campaign from September 10 till 24. The agenda of today’s meeting are amendment of the statutes of sister and well-wisher organizations and their recognition, the sister organizations that have already completed term as per the party’s statute, the party’s public relations committees and giving policy directives to the people’s representatives elected from the party, among other topics, party spokesman Bishwa Prakash Sharma said.
