Eight killed, one still missing in Jajarkot landslides

Jajarkot, Aug 5 (RSS): The number of people killed in separate two landslides at Bheri Municipality-3 of Jajarkot district in Karnali province on Sunday morning has reached eight.
The eight bodies were recovered while one is still missing. The incident took place when a house of local Tirtha Raj Bohara got collapsed due to a landslide.
The deceased have been identified as Shitala Luhar, 25, her daughters Bhawana Pariyar, 9, and Ranjana Pariyar, 6, and three year old Manisha Pariyar. They were living in a rented house.
Similarly, the house owner Bohara’s seven year old daughter Nagma Bohara was also killed in the incident. On the other hand live-rescued in the incident, Khadga Bahadur Luhar was undergoing treatment at Jajarkot hospital.
Similarly, thirteen year old Narendra Pariyar and eleven year old Navin Pariyar were killed when a house of Gopal Sunar at Kushe-6 Dhime got collapsed.
According to chief district officer Lalit Kumar Basnet, the body of Govinda Pariyar, 8, of Nalgad-1 Dandagaun is yet to be recovered due to continuous rainfall.
