Two injured in storm in Sarlahi

Two persons were injured in a storm that hit Sarlahi district and surrounding areas on Tuesday night. Nanda Pasman was hurt when a railing of his house fell on him in the storm at Brahammapuri-5. Pasman, 30, sustained chest, arm and hand injuries. Likewise, Lakhan Mandal, 57, was injured when the storm blew away the roof of a poultry farm at Malangawa-12, said the police. He has been working for the farm. He has sustained waist and foot injuries. Both of the injured are receiving treatment at the district hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Pratit Singh Rathor. Fruit and vegetable farming worth thousands of rupees were destroyed in the storm, said a farmer, Bajai Kushbaha of Chakraghatana rural municipality. Meanwhile, a child died after being electrocuted at Ramnagar rural municipality. Rabi Ram, five year old son of local resident Ramsah Ram, came in contact with electricity in connecting a plug to an electric socket to operate a fan, said the police.
