State-2 government announces immediate relief to disaster survivors

Dhanusha, March 31 ,,  The State-2 Council of Ministers has expressed profound sorrow over the big loss of lives and properties incurred in the districts, including Bara and Parsa due to storm last night.
The cabinet meeting held this morning has decided to offer a relief package of Rs 300,000 each to the survivors’ families.
The strong winds followed by rain and hailstones occurred in different places of Bara and Parsa on Sunday night left more than 25 people dead. The death toll continues to rise, according to the hospitals.
Over 400 injured people are being treated at the hospitals in Kalaiya and Birgunj.
Security personnel and local people are still engaged in rescuing people from the disaster sites.
The State government has also decided to bear all the expenses incurred during treatment of the recent disaster-injured people and also take initiative for residential arrangement for those losing home.
Sharing the cabinet decisions, Chief Minister of State-2, Lalbabu Raut said, “We will immediately provide relief of Rs 300,000 each to the families of the deceased. The state government would bear all the expenses incurred in course of the treatment of the injured”.
CM Raut informed that the State government would also make effort for the arrangement of immediate residence and rehabilitation of the disaster survivors in the long-run. —
