Dhanusha, March 27 ,,Chief Minister of State 2, Lalbau Raut, has suggested that the Gorkhaptra daily should be in tune with the changing time.
Inaugurating the two-day provincial journalism training organized by Gorkhpatra Corporation in Janakpur today, CM Raut warned that the Gorkhapatra Daily would be a history if it failed to transform itself as per the demand of time.
Gorkhapatra is one of the oldest daily newspaper in the country.
Expressing his concerns about the Gorkhaptra which now could be a synonymous for publishing vacancies and government notices, Raut spoke of the need for Gorkhaptra to be competitive and technology-friendly to disseminate news instantly to the readers.

Also speaking at the inaugural of the training, minister for internal affairs and law (State 2) Gyanendra Yadav urged Gorkhaptra to capitalize on its human resources.
Yadav also assured that the provincial government was in favour of freedom of press and had ensured more freedom of expression that was guaranteed by the federal government.
About the new Bill relating to the Information technology, he said that his government was willing to hold discussion with the media persons about any issues surfaced in connection to the Bill.
The inaugural session was chaired by Gorkhapatra’s Consultant Editor Gopal Khanal. Present in the training were Gorkhapatra’s executive Chairman Krishna Raj Murari, trainor Saradchandra Basti, Chief Editor Shree Om Lal Shrestha among others.
