SC continues interlocutory order to stay government decision

Kathmandu, July 18 (RSS): The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interlocutory interim order to the government not to immediately implement its decision to relieve Chief Executive Officer of Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund, Bijaya Babu Mishra.
A divisional bench of Justices Iswor Prasad Khatiwada and Anil Kumar Sinha today continued the interlocutory order staying the government’s decision to remove CEO Mishra.
The bench ordered the government to not execute its decision to terminate the job of CEO Mishra till the case was settled, reasoning the removal without giving a chance for hearing will inflict irreparable loss to him.
A single bench of justice Purswottam Bhandari on July 12 had issued interlocutory interim order to not implement the government’s decision to remove CEO Mishra.
The apex court had summoned both the sides for discussion today.
