Lhasa, China, June 22 (RSS): Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in Lhasa on his six-day China visit, held discussions with Chairman of Tibet Government, Che Dalha, on Friday.
During the meeting at Intercontinental Conference Centre between Nepali delegation and Chairman of Tibet Government of China, PM Oli stressed on deepening Nepal’s relations with China’s autonomous region in Tibet in the future, adding that the region has the special and historical relations of Nepal for sharing the border with Nepal as well.
Likewise, PM Oli said that Nepal China relations have reached a new height following the meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and the agreements with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, and also expressed pleasure towards better relations with the Tibet Government.
Saying that the historical relations existing between Nepal-Tibet should be made further broader and friendly in the changed context, the PM added that both the sides should go for implementation in different aspects of cooperation.
Likewise, the Chairman of Tibet Government Che expressed confidence for strong Nepal-Tibet relations in the days to come and expressed the commitment to support Nepal on behalf of the Tibet Government.
On the occasion, both the leaders have agreed to move ahead on intensive implementation of the multidimensional cross-Himalaya connectivity network under the China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ framework as mentioned in the Nepal China Joint Statement.
Likewise, cross border transmission line, agreement made in the prime minister-level on use of Tibetan highway, tourism promotion, border management and the facilities given to Nepali citizens by the Tibet Government were also discussed.
