Kathmandu, June 15 (RSS): Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (CNP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today said that they were working to prepare a base for socialism via prosperity along with social justice after the unification of the parties.
Addressing a joint meeting of the Press Chautari and Press Centre Nepal in the capital, the former prime minister said that the party unification had given international vibes and it should be internalised firmly to prepare a new base for socialism.
“21st century is era of information. The revolution in the field of information technology should be understood well and the media should play roles to disseminate it to the people in a right manner,” the CPN Chairman added.
He added, “We have agreed to reach the target of socialism by mending our political course and revising the thoughts through the new base of unity along with debate, struggles and transformation.”
Prachanda was of the opinion that party headquarters should be made powerful not the multiple power centres.
Stating that the communism collapsed in the Eastern Europe and USSR due to the trend of being master once the communist reached the power, he suggested that the communists should be linked to the people with critical mind.
Likewise, General Secretary of CPN Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that the sister organizations of the parties would be united soon to give a message of excitement nationwide.
Also speaking at the programme, Standing Committee Member of CPN Pampha Bhusal expressed satisfaction over the progress on unification process of the Press Chautari and Press Centre Nepal.
