Kathmandu, June 14 (RSS): The meeting of the Council of Ministers today has recommended to the President to summon the joint meeting of the federal parliaments at 4:00 pm on 14 July for the purpose of joint meeting of the federal parliament and to pass the Rules of Procedure 2075 BS.
The government also decided to accept the grant of some Rs 320 million to be provided under the project for scholarship by the Japan government.
The memorandum of understanding and cooperation being signed between the Ministry of Energy, Hydropower and Irrigation and China Communications Construction Company would be accepted and the concerned official from the Ministry would be assigned for signing it.
The government is also to accept the assistance of some 15 million US dollars from International Development Association under the World Bank in order to ease the work procedures of the organization involved in the public finance and procurement management at the local and federal levels, and for it a team would be formed to hold talks on it.
Moreover, Nepal Electricity Authority would be given authority to sign agreement with the State Grid Corporation of China for feasibility study of power grid interconnection.
In line with the CITES, a bear in the Jawalakhel Zoo would be returned to India.
A decision was also made that government would make agreement with National Development and Reform Commission of China for the investment on development and production.
Adhikari appointed RSS Chairman
The cabinet today appointed Harihar Adhikari (Shyamal) as the Chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS).
The meeting held this evening at the Prime Minister’s official residence appointed Adhikari to the post.
Likewise, Dr Mahendra Bista was appointed the Chairman of Nepal Television, according to the government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Gokul Baskota.
Similarly, the government has decided to recall Dr Som Lal Subedi from the post of Alternate Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and send Joint Secretary Ram Sharan Pudasaini of the Ministry of Finance.
