Kathmandu, Sept 3,, Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Elhadj As Sy arrived here today on a four-day visit of Nepal.
He was received at the Tribhuvan International Airport by General Secretary of Nepal Red Cross Society Devratna Dhakwa, Executive Director Umesh Prasad Dhakal and IFRC Nepal chief Juja Kim.
During the visit, Secretary General Sy is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister and high-ranking government officials, as well as UN representatives in Nepal. He is also scheduled to take stock of the post-earthquake humanitarian assistance provided by the Red Cross in the country.
