Kathmandu, April 5 ,, Nepal’s performance in the ongoing 12th edition of the World Cup Futsal underway in Argentina has remained dismal so far. Nepal conceded 1-11 defeat to Catlonia in the final game of the group round on Thursday night. The only goal for Nepal came from Sujan Balami. With this defeat, Nepal’s journey in the championship has come to an end and the Nepali team is returning back home without a single victory. America defeated Nepal 2-1 in the first match of the Group D round before this.
Similarly, Nepal lost the match to France 2-3 in the second match. Nepal got entry in the World Cup Futsal through ‘wild card’. Catalonia and France have entered the quarter final from Nepal’s group, Group D. The Nepali team is returning home today. It had left for Argentina on March 24 to participate in the 12th edition of the World Cup Futsal. —
