Sophisticated CT-scan machine inaugurated

Butwal, Oct 27,,   Chief of Province-5 Umakanta Jha inaugurated a sophisticated ‘128 slice CT-scan machine’ at the Gautam Buddha Community Heart Hospital, Butwal on Saturday.
Addressing the function, Province Chief Jha said the provincial government has not been able to carry out works as per the expectation of the people for lack of the required laws. He added that the development construction works have not been able to reach the grassroots level through the provincial government.
The Province Chief stressed on the need of collaboration and cooperation among the federal, provincial and local level governments to make the provincial government ‘functional’.
Hospital chairman Ejaj Alam said the Hospital was geared towards providing quality health care services. He also shared on the occasion that the Hospital was bringing a new project in collaboration with the Rotary Club.
Hospital director and cardiologist Dr Sameer Gautam expressed the belief that the modern CT-scan machine would be useful in the diagnosis of congenital heart diseases.
The CT-scan machine was procured at Rs 70 million. Besides scanning for heart disease, the machine can also be used for getting the CT-scan of kidney, lung, head, knee and other body parts.
