Pokhara, March 17 ,, The Social Journalism Prize 2075 is to be awarded to senior journalist Bhairav Risal. The prize is founded by senior social worker of Pokhara Lilabhakta Acharya.
The meeting of the Independent Journalists Association, Nepal Central Committee decided to honour Risal with the prize in honour of his active dedication to journalism even at the age of 90. Likewise, Editor of Dibya Roshani weekly Manita Rai (Chamling) of Dharan, Sunsari will be honoured with the women journalist award 2075.
The prizes carry a purse of Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively, along with a letter of appreciation. The award will be presented on March 20, marking the 8th founding day of the Association, according to its president Krishna Prasad Bastola.
