Kathmandu, Aug. 18 , Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has pointed out the shortsightedness among the politicians for slow progress in country’s economic transformation.
During a discussion programme on Durga Subedi’s book ‘Biman Bidroha’, the former prime minister and coordinator of Naya Shakti Nepal Party said that country’s diplomatic perspective happened to be poor due to conflicting views of the communists and other parties regarding on the foreign policy resulting in increased foreign interference.
Likewise, former Chief Justice Sushila Karki opined that the book would be crucial for the people of new generation since it accounts the major political incidents of the time.
Similarly, Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa said the book was inspiring to make the people independent and develop the nation.
On the occasion, writer Subedi the federal democratic republic was not linked to ignite social empowerment of the backward communities even after the promulgation of the constitution through the Constituent Assembly that was achieved after the political revolutions of different periods.
