Seven MW hydropower project in seven provinces

Kathmandu, June 27 (RSS): Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsa Man Pun on Wednesday said seven megawatts hydropower project would be initiated in every province of the country. Work is underway to make the country self-reliant in power generation, he said.
Responding to queries raised by lawmakers attending a deliberation on the Appropriation Bill related to his ministry in the meeting of House of Representatives, he shared that enough budget has been allocated for national pride projects, big and small, and irrigation has been managed in Tarai.
Other lawmakers participating in the deliberation—Prem Suwal, Dev Prasad Timalsina, Ram Bahadur Bista, Dilendra Prasad Badu, Satya Narayan Khanal, Bimal Prasad Srivastab and Mina Pandey–sought additional explanation on Minister Pun’s responses to the raised questions.
