Lahan, Siraha, July 29 (RSS): Local people and representatives of local political parties have demanded the disclosure of income and expenditure details of projects carried out by the Golbazaar Municipality for the fiscal year 2074/75. They have suspected budget irregularity in the projects reportedly committed by the Municipality officials including Mayor Devnath Saha.
The Municipality officials have been charged of pocketing commissions from such projects by paying the bill in the name of their relatives.
The local people and political party representatives have also demanded that the receipt of the bill payment also be made public at the earliest, according to an application submitted to the Municipality, signed by representatives of various political parties like the Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal, Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, Nepali Congress, Bibeksheel Sajha Party, Naya Shakti Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic.
