Police clean up 8,000 marijuana plants

Bhaktapur, Aug 14 Police have cleaned up around 8,000 marijuana plants at Thulogaun in Suryabinayak municipality-8, Sipadole. A police team headed by Chakraraj Joshi, Deputy Superintendant of Police of Metropolitan Police Range Jagati, destroyed the marijuana plants. DSP Joshi said they came up with the clean-up drive to check evils and anomalies taking place in society through marijuana consumption. On last Sunday too, police had destroyed 4,200 marijuana plants cultivated at Suryabinayak municipality-7, Gundu Nayabasti. —
