Beijing, June 21 (RSS): Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China has been described as ‘of special significance’ by the Chinese side.
Speaking at a press meet held after the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Oli and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang here today, Vice Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Kong Xuan You said, ‘Prime Minister Oli’s visit has been of special significance’.
The Vice-minister on the occasion expressed the commitment on behalf of China to provide every possible support to help Nepal attain its goal of ‘prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepalis’ following the political stability in the country.
Stating that agreements have been reached to collaborate in 14 different areas during the visit, Xuan You said Nepal has reiterated its commitment to one-China policy and not allowing its territory to be used against China.
Nepal’s wish of seeing a high-level visit from China has been taken positively by the Chinese side. The Vice-minister said both leaders have agreed to further expand Himalayan transborder connectivity.
Views were also exchanged on carrying out feasibility on matters of free trade agreement and to set up economic zones in all the seven provinces.
