Kathmandu, July 28 (RSS): Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said the government was active enough to ensure the rule of law, good governance and corruption control in the country.
“The government wants to uproot the corruption and guarantee the presence of a good rule in the country, making the people feel the presence of the government,” the PM underscored.
In his address to a training jointly organised by the General Federation of Nepalese Trade Union (GFONT) and All Nepal Federation of Trade Unions here today, the PM expressed his concern over ‘misinterpretation’ of government activities when it had been just five months that it stormed into the power. He took the time to pledge the acceleration of the works relating to the reconstruction of historic Dharahara (Bhimsen tower) that had been brought down by the 2015 April earthquake.
PM Oli further said the restoration of quake-damaged historic monuments like Rani Pokhari temple, and Kasthamandap would start soon. They would be restored through the combination of original style and modern technology.
According to him, entry of money through an illegal channel and black money will be totally banned.
PM Oli voiced his concern about Maitighar Mandala being turned a ‘place of protest’. He pledged to make the country self-reliant by commercializing, modernizing agriculture, while guaranteeing a complete end to syndicate, something that is plaguing the country.
“The government is and will always be with workers. Programmes and plans that favour them will be brought soon,” he asserted.
He urged all to join the national-building campaign. “Now, no people will suffer poverty, nor would they be forced to wander in search of a job. Job opportunities will be available within the country itself,” he underscored.
The Prime Minister added that 105 ropeways locally known as tuins were replaced across the country.
