Biratnagar, Sept 29,, Deputy leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar, has stressed on taking under control those people involved in carrying out anti-national activities.
Talking to journalists at Biratnagar Airport on Saturday, he said it was the duty of all political parties to protect the national sovereignty.
The NC parliamentary party deputy leader stated, “Those involved in activities directed against the nation should not be given any leeway. The present government should check such activities in time.”
Expressing concern over the increase in the murder, violence and rape incidents in the country, he called on the Home Ministry administration to create a safe environment for the people.
In response to a question, the NC leader said the main opposition party should get the post of Deputy Speaker of Parliament as per the constitutional provision and urged the ruling side to follow this provision.
He added that his party was waiting the Supreme Court verdict as this issue was under consideration at the apex court.
