Chitwan, June 18 (RSS): Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said the party had to face defeat in the elections due to the internal mismanagement.
Talking to journalists here today, he said the party would become stronger if it was managed well and it should be run as per the party’s statute and in a transparent way. He also stressed on the need of strengthening internal democracy in the party.
The party senior leader said that the assembly of the party’s district presidents to be convened in Hetauda on Tuesday would contribute to the party’s internal democracy as they would be putting their views on various issues dogging the party, which would in turn help consolidate the party.
Another leader Prakash Man Singh said the present party leadership has not run the party well. “The party needs to be reformed, it should be run in an institutional way and steered ahead as per the statute and the aspirations of the party cadres,” he said. Leader Singh also said that the party had to face defeat in the election due to the weakness of the leadership. Poudel and Singh arrived in Chitwan today on their way to attend the party district presidents’ assembly in Hetauda.
