Pakistan’s ambassador calls on Home Minister Thapa

Kathmandu, Sept 26,,   Pakistan’s ambassador to Nepal, Mazhar Javed, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa on Tuesday.
The meeting took place at the Home Ministry in Singha Durbar. During the meeting, Home Minister Thapa and the Pakistani ambassador discussed Nepal-Pakistan bilateral relations and matters of mutual concern and cooperation.
On the occasion, Minister Thapa thanked Pakistan for its support to Nepal in the education and technology among other sectors. He urged Pakistan for more support.
Ambassador Javed said that cooperation could be furthered in security sector as well. He opined that now was the appropriate condition for lasting collaboration between Pakistan and Nepal as Nepal has a stable government in place for five years and Pakistan too has recently got a new government also for five years.
The Pakistani ambassador stated that preparations were being made for the exchange of visits by the parliamentarians and youths between Nepal and Pakistan, which, he hoped, would help further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)’s summit also was talked in the meeting.
