Bardibas, June 25 , Nepali Congress vice president Bimalendra Nidhi has stressed the need for strong unity in the Nepali Congress for institutional development and healthy exercise of federal democratic republic.
Addressing the party cadres’ meet in Mahottari on Monday, the NC leader said that democracy would tend to be weak due to conflict in the NC and called for unity in the party.
He was of the view that democracy in the country was possible due to NC’s leading role and the NC can play role for successful implementation of the federal constitution adding that NC was established for the democracy.
Nidhi claimed that raising the issue of presidential system within three years of enforcement of the new constitution was inviting instability in the country. He said that democracy is not the matter of utility for NC but it is a lifestyle.
