Damak, Jan 5,, A pedestrian was killed in a road accident that took place in Ekata chowk of Kamal rural municipality-4 on Friday.
Shiva Lamichhane of ward no. 1 in Damak municipality died after being hit by a truck (Me.1Kha.1957) in the accident that took place on the east-west highway, according to District Police Office, Jhapa. Seriously injured, Lamichhane died on the way to the hospital.
The truck driver Nirmal Rai,32, of Paanchthar has been taken into custody for necessary action.
