Kathmandu, July 15 (RSS): The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has given suggestions to the government regarding the report to be submitted by the government at the United Nations Committee against Torture (CAT).
The NHRC suggested over various issues on the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh periodic reports to be submitted by the government to the CAT, said NHRC Spokesperson Mohana Ansari.
The NHRC suggested the government making the jail rooms specious as most of the jails in the country are crammed full by the jailbirds.
Similarly, the NHRC also suggested conducting regular health test of inmates, to provide free legal aid to those who are kept in jail for investigation as well as to establish Child Rehabilitation Centre at remote areas.
