Nepali youths hold dialogue with ambassador

Bangladesh (Dhaka), Sept 23  Nepali youths have held talks with Nepal’s ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr Banshidhar Mishra, on a range of issues including strengthening the bilateral ties including trade between the two South Asian neighbours at the people’s level. A team of Nepali youth is in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to participate in the Second South Asia Youth Conference-2019. The Nepali delegation met with ambassador Mishra on Saturday. In course of the meeting, ambassador Mishra said he would take further initiation for making the relations between the two countries deeper at the government and people’s level as well as facilitating the transportation services. On the occasion, Global Youth Parliament president Diwakar Aryal urged for more collaboration and deeper interaction among the youth of Nepal and Bangladesh. He also urged the ambassador to the need of promoting tourism. The team also met with Bangladesh’s former Minister for Home Affairs and Commerce, Altaf Hussain Chaudhary. The Nepali delegation comprised Nepal Bar Association’s former treasurer Mohan Ingnam, Association of Dalit Women Uplift Nepal general secretary Bindu Pariyar, Karnali Television’s chair Dambar Shahu, editot of Deshantar Weekly, Bishnu Prasad Devkota and Tribhuvan University lecturer Devi Prasad Adhikari, among others. The Global Law Thinker Society has also handed over the ‘South Asian Youth Leadership Award-2019’ to the individuals from various countries who are actively working for youth uplift and empowerment. Ingnam, Pariyar, Shahu, Adhikari, Bishnu Prasad Devkota, Nagendra Prasad Bhatta, Durga Devi Mainali and Sushil Darnal bagged the award from Nepal. The Society has awarded Global Youth Parliament president Diwakar Aryal with the ‘Global Change Maker Award’. Altogether 33 youths from various countries were awarded on the occasion. The two-day conference has committed to work more actively in the youth sector. The conference was organized with the objective of exchanging experience and exploring opportunities for the collective youth leadership development by consolidating regional unity.
