Kathmandu, June 18 (RSS): Nepal has won the Best Booth Operation Award in the 33rd Korea World Travel Fair.
Nepal Tourism Board informed through a press release today that Nepal won the award in the fair organised at COEX Convention & Exhibition Center, Seoul of South Korea from June 14-17 for its outstanding pavillion exhibition in the fair.
Five different private companies under the leadership of NTB had participated in the fair. More than 50 countries and 50 international companies had participated in the fair, where they got opportunity for the exhibition and promotion about their respective tourism products and destinations.
Koreans arriving Nepal used to visit Lumbini, Pokhara, Annapurna Trek and Sagarmatha area. Nepal and South Korea have been enjoying diplomatic and friendly relations since 1974. A large number of Koreans visit Nepal every year. Around one million foreign tourists had visited Nepal in 2017. Of them, 34,301 were Koreans.
