Kathmandu, March 11 ,,  A national religious amity conference is going to be organised in the federal capital Kathmandu on March 16.
The conference is organised by the Jaro Kilo Pratisthan Nepal, the Sahridayata Samaj Nepal and the Yug Nirman Mahila Samaj Nepal, with the objective of preservation of the indigenous and unique religions in practice in Nepal.
Chairman of the Jaro Kilo Pratisthan, Dr Nirmala Mani Adhikari, said the conference will also adopt a voluntary common strategy to fight against the religious conversion, which according to him, is under way in Nepal causing harm to the country’s indigenous and unique religions.
Various scholars associated with Nepal’s indigenous faiths as Hinduism, Buddhism, Kirant, Jain and Bon will participate in the discussions in the conference. Working papers on different aspects of theology would also be presented and discussed on the occasion.
This type of conference was held for the first time on February 17 last year. The conference will be held at Nepal Academy Hall.
