Maoist Centre’s general convention organising committee passes 11-point charter

Kathmandu, June 13 (RSS): A meeting of general convention organising committee of a group from the then CPN (Maoist Centre) who refused to join the unification process with the then CPN (UML) took various decisions.
The meeting endorsed the 11-point charter on nationality, people’s democracy and livelihood, and five-point agreement on political and organisational issue presented by Chairperson of the Maoist Centre Gopal Kirati. This information was shared at a press conference here today.
The meeting also decided to support multi-position system in the centre of the organising committee. Likewise, 701-member general convention committee has been formed. Kirati has been elected Chairperson of the organising committee, according to a statement issued by the party today.
Bhabishwor Parajuli and Tilak Thapa Magar have been chosen as Vice Chairperson. Similarly, Karnajit Budhathoki was picked as General Secretary and Rajan Timsina as Secretary.
The meeting also formed 175 members politburo and 43-member central secretariat.
