Jhapa struggling with leprosy patients

Damak, Jhapa, June 17 (RSS): Jhapa is grappling with rampant numbers of people suffering from leprosy. The district has a total of 758 people with the disease found in the space of four years and of them, 159 are under regular medication, said supervisor for the district leprosy control programme Parshuram Pokharel.
Places of the district like Bhadrapur, Birtamod, Damak, Shivasatachhi, Arjundhara and Buddhashanti are at risk of the disease, he said.
A campaign has been launched to search and treat the patient with leprosy in all 15 local levels of the district, he said.
