Illegal structures alongside highway removed

Kanchanpur, Oct 21  Removal of structures built on the East-West Highway sides and encroaching upon public land in Bhimdutta municipality of Kanchanpur has begun from Sunday. The local government said it has sought the help of police administration to demolish illegal structures after frequent notices issued in the past to evacuate such areas were not followed by the people concerned. The removal of huts and shops remaining within the periphery of 25 meters along the highway sides from Bhanuchowk area is to take place today, Ward police Office Mahendranagar said. According to the Office, illegal structures occupying the highway sides from Shiva Temple to Bus Park area were pulled down on Sunday.
