Kavrepalanchowk, Jan 9,,  The reconstruction of the earthquake-ravaged historical heritages in the district has seen a snail pace.
The 2015 earthquake had devastated 68 historical heritages in the district.
According to the Department of Archaeology’s data, currently 23 temples and rest houses are under construction. The construction of rest house of Dapcha-based Bhimsen Temple has completed.
Department’s Research Officer Mohan Singh Lama said delay in the release of budget for the heritage reconstruction and short of competent human resource caused snail pace in the rebuild efforts.
“The reconstruction of heritages hit the snag due to short of human resource in the making of artistic windows, doors and pillar. It is quite difficult to complete the construction in the stipulated time”, he added.
The federal government is taking up the responsibility of post-quake reconstruction
The delay in the construction of heritages is obvious as the historical structures are required to be rebuilt on traditional style, said Leela Lama, a construction entrepreneur. —
