Govt committed to resolved taxation-related issues: Acting PM Pokharel

Kathmandu, Oct 1 ,,   Acting Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel has reaffirmed that the government was committed to addressing any issue related to taxation that were giving people a hard time.
Addressing the 39th annual general meeting of the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, Acting PM Pokharel clarified that the local, provincial and federal government had not imposed any kind of multiple taxation system.
Stating that the laws for the smooth functioning and coordination among the local, provincial and government were put in place, Pokharel assured that there would be no issues surrounding the coordination among these three tiers of governments and the taxation system.
Admitting that the incumbent government was very serious about the criticism on the latest taxation system in the country, the Acting PM said that the government had not levied tax on anything unnecessarily.
Acting PM Pokharel, also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense, asserted that the need of the hour in the country was to create jobs in the country and develop the tourism sector.
Stressing on the development of economic, social and cultural development, he stated that the incumbent government was trying to create a wave of development but many forces were trying to create hindrance.
He urged all the political parties for their solidarity in the development agenda of the government.
