Fire ravages property worth Rs 500 thousand

Kanchanpur, Jan 16  ,,   Properties worth more than Rs 500 thousand were destroyed after a house and a cowshed caught fire at Pilariphanta of Shuklaphanta Municipality-8 in the district last night. The house of Gopal Bhul and the cowshed of Chandra Bhul were gutted in the fire that reportedly started due to short circuit in the solar lighting system installed at Gopal’s house.
The fire burnt four anas gold, solar panel, food grains, clothes, beddings and household utensils at Gopal’s house, causing a property loss of over Rs 400 thousand. Similarly, the fire burnt property worth Rs 150 thousand at Chandra’s cowshed. The fire was brought under control through joint efforts of locals and the Shuklaphanta municipality’s disaster management special unit.
Three shops gutted by fire in Doti
Meanwhile, three shops were completely gutted by fire that broke out at Nachanthalimod of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-6 in Doti district last night, the District Police Office, Doti stated. The cloth and tailoring shop of Bahadur Bohara, mobile gallery of Ranjan Nepali and a saloon of Dirgha BK were gutted by fire that broke out at midnight on Tuesday.
