Chitwan, Aug 31 ,,  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav has said that country could be developed by putting an end to corruption and politicization in education and health sectors. The two sectors could not develop well as the political parties received education and health sectors as the cadres’ recruitment centres, Yadav claimed.
Yadav said that the doctors don’t have to opt for agitation, revealing that the government was preparing to amend the recently promulgated civil code.
The statement of Deputy Prime Minister Yadav comes as the doctors have announced the protest programme pressing for the amendment to the civil code.
At a programme in BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital on Friday, Yadav said that the government would meet the demands of doctors. “What is the meaning of the protest when the government is amending (civil code) as demanded by the doctors?” Yadav asked.
The Health and Population Minister asked the health institutions to cater specialists services by doing away with human errors and directed the officials of the Cancer Hospital for international-level services. He shared that the government was working to develop the hospital as the country’s largest, systematic and centre for best treatment service.
Arguing that Chitwan can be developed as the city of medical centre, Yadav said medical centre is possible in Chitwan due to its favourable geographical location and proximity with the capital city.
The government was seeking ways to produce doctors in lost cost thereby ensuring free health care services to the people, Yadav added.
