Lahan, July 25 ,, A minor drowned in a ditch at Golbazaar municipality-4 in Siraha district on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Ankit Kumar Sah, son of a local Santosh Sah. The incident took place when the child fell into the ditch filled with water following incessant rainfall nearby the house. According to the District Police Office, Siraha, the child died while undergoing treatment at RK Mediciti, Dhangadhi. Similarly, police have arrested two youths with banned drugs today. They are Mohammad Salik Siddique, 23, and Auran Jebarahi, 24, of Siraha municipality-4. Police confiscated 11 pieces of Nitravet and 10 grammes of marijuana from them while they were smuggling it to Nepal from India using a motorcycle (Sa 6 Pa 5205), according to the District Police Office, Siraha.
