Biplav group’s district leader arrested

Parasi, Aug 7 Police have arrested a district leader of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led group for his involvement in organized criminal activities. Chaitraram Musahar, Biplav group’s Nawalparasi district member and in-charge of Sarawal rural municipality, was nabbed and made public on August 6. A joint team mobilized from Area Police Office, Bardagaht and Area Police Office, Semari caught Musahar from his house at Bardaghat-12. He was involved in putting fire on two stationary trucks (Na 5 Kha 7741) and (Na 4 Kha 6825) at Sarawal-1, Wasa ahead of shutdown enforced by Biplav group on 14 March 2018. Police said that he was at large after the incident of arson. Likewise, he was also found involved in another incident of arson causing damages to the Ncell tower at Bardaghat-13 on August 1, shared District Police Office, Nawalparasi-west. Polcie informed that necessary investigation into the criminal involvement of Musahar is underway. Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died in a bike accident at Sunawal of Nawalparasi-west. The motorbike accident occurred over a bridge nearby the border of Sunawal and Ramgram municipality on the way to Parasi from Sunawal-12 Harkatta. The deceased has been identified as Amar Deep Chaudhary, 33, of Ramgram-10. The speeding motorbike (Lu 40 Pa 3598) turned over on the bridge after it lost balance, said Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Sunawal, Balaram Giri. —
