Agriculture Ministry launches mobile apps

Kathmandu, June 24, Ministry for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, has launched a mobile application related to land good governance. The apps service of this kind is introduced for the first time in the country.

Launching the mobile apps at a programme organised at the Ministry today, Minister for Agriculture, Chakrapani Khanal, said that the mobile apps has incorporated various information including achievements of the Ministry’s programmes, services to be provided by the ministry, citizen charter, and working areas of the offices under the ministry.
The apps also include a format of application to be submitted by service seekers, rules and regulations, land dictionary and survey calculator.
On the occasion, Minister Khanal said that he was serious to address the complaints of the people so as they realize the Ministry’s initiations to this end.
He said it was a small initiative which would be helpful to service seekers.
Saying more problems have surfaced in land sector as compared to other areas, the Agriculture Minister pointed out the need of reforms in the existing survey management.
State Minister Ram Kumari Chaudhary and Secretary Gopinath Mainali, among other high level officials were present on the occasion.
Joint-Secretary Janakraj Joshi explained the features of the apps. The apps could be easily used after downloading in the cell phones even in the absence of internet facility.
