67 industries face music

Kathmandu, July 5  ,,  Nepal Bureau of Standard and Metrology has taken action against 67 industries producing substandard goods, as of June 15 of the current fiscal year. The industries facing Bureau’s action include Ghorahi Cement Pvt Ltd, Dang; Narayani Micropipe Industry, Bara; Nawa Nepal Plastic, Narayani Cement Industry, Bara; Hongshi Shivam Cement Pvt Ltd; Premier Wire Pvt Ltd, Biratnagar, Bishwakarma Cement Pvt Ltd, Parsa; Asian Thai Food Pvt Ltd; Mega Cement, Jhapa; Laxmi Steel Pvt Ltd, Nawalparasi; Kathmandu Steel Pvt Ltd, Nawalparasi, among others. Bureau’s director general Bishwa Babu Pudasaini said the license of most industries facing action has been suspended and the sale and distribution of the goods manufactured by these industries stopped.
