Former AMUSU’s president Dr. Maskoor Usmani fields Bihar election as a INC candidate

Bihar: Former President of the Aligarh Muslim University Students’ Union, Dr Maskoor Ahmad Usmani, is reportedly to contest the Bihar elections 2020 as a Congress Candidate.

The INC has bond with former president of AMUSU’s Dr. Usmani as a nominee in Bihar assembly elections 2020.

A resident of Dharbhanga, Bihar, Usmani extremely enthusiastic protested against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). His Twitter handle was also suspended for criticizing the Indian government for slapping UAPA on anti-CAA activists, including Meeran Haider and Safoora Zargar

In 2017 Dr.Usmani defeated Ajay Singh by 6,719 votes and was elected as a president of the Aligarh Muslim University Students’ Union.

Dr. Usmani, a former student of dental science at Aligarh Muslim university.
