32 bills to table in state assembly at once

Dhanusha, Aug 5 The State-2 government is set to table different 32 bills at the State Assembly at once. Gyanendra Yadav, Minster for Internal Affairs and Law, shared ten among 32 bills are already at Legislative Committee of the Council of Ministers and concerned line ministries have taken principle agreement from Law Ministry for 22 bills. So far the State Assembly has enacted 20 laws. Earlier, 21 bills that were registered in the State-2 have been put on hold. The law-making process of the state has been stalled when the State Assembly could not take place since long. However, Saroj Kumar Yadav, Speaker of the State Assembly, said it took long time to have meetings since the state government was focused on carrying out rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas. The State Assembly meetings will take its pace soon, he added. Among the bills put on hold in the State Assembly are related to the process of formulating laws of municipal assembly, formation of state milk development board, formation of Madarasa education board, Dalit empowerment, state electricity, state public service commission, state roads and state children welfare and development. —
