Museum exploring BP’s thoughts in Biratnagar

Kathmandu, June 13   ,,  The BP Museum Committee on Thursday has embarked on a journey from Sundarijal, Kathmandu to Biratnagar-based historical Koirala Niwas in search for BP’s thoughts and ideals. The second round journey has been set to unleash BP’s political thoughts and ideals so as to strengthen democratic values and principles, Parshuram Pokharel, founder chair of the museum committee, told RSS. This round of journey would end in Sundarijal on 15 June. In course of the journey, the soil and image of the museum is being taken to Biratnagar. The journeyers set out from Kathmandu on Thursday morning would reach Biratnagar in the evening today. The team is set to make a daylong visit to Biratnagar on Friday to study about the first people-elected Prime Minister of Nepal, BP Koirala Museum chair Pokharel said onsite visits would be made in the places associated to the life of BP. The team would also hold discussion with different people on BP’s multi-dimensional personality. The visit is set as part of the journey from Sundarijal to Banaras to explore BP. Earlier, the team had initiated the exploration from Koirala’s origin, Dumja, on last February 23. The museum has the plan to go to all 77 districts of the country within two years as part of the campaign of searching for BP’s ideals. In the third round, the team would begin its journey from the late Sushil Koirala’s home town Nepalgunj to Dadeldhura, the home town of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. In the fourth round, the team is scheduled to reach the birthplaces of martyr Durgananda Jha, Saroj Koirala, Ramnarayan Mishra, Mahendra Narayan Nidhi, Arbind Thakur and home town of first-ever President of Nepal Dr Ram Baran Yadav and the cultural city, Janakpur. The journey is meant to reach out the thoughts and ideals of BP Koirala to the people’s level. The fifth round journey would be made in Okhaldhunga, the birthplace of martyrs Ram, Laxman and Thagi among others who laid down their lives for attainment of democracy and Dhankuta, the birthplace of Bhim Narayan Shrestha. After completing the nationwide journey, the closing programme would be held at the residence of Supreme Leader Ganeshman Singh at Chaksibari, Kathmandu, Pokharel informed.
