Monitoring detects date-expired medicines

Syangja, July 4  ,,  A monitoring team of Kailgandaki rural municipality has found date-expired foodstuffs and medicines on Wednesday. Ganesh Khanal, chief administrative officer of Kaligandaki, shared that the date-expired edible food items and drugs were found while monitoring shops at local Mirmibazaar. The team seized 10 different sub-standard medicines from Suraj Medical Hall and food items such as juice, biscuits, soda and chips from other grocery shops, he said. The drugs and goods were destroyed and the concerned people were cautioned not to repeat such wrongdoing in future, according to the rural municipality sources. The monitoring drive was intensified to check sales of sub-standard medicines and food items which have direct bearing on the public health, Khanal added.
