Federal health system discussed

Pokhara, July 9  ,,  Discussions about the federal health system was held in Pokhara. In the two-day conference, public health professors, researchers and experts gave their paper presentations on several topics. Information about this was shared through a press meet here today, conference organizer committee chair associate-professor Dr Damaru Prasad Paneru said. Professor Sharad Raj Onta gave his presentation on the topic of ‘a way towards the achievement of sustainable development’. Prof Dr Rajendra Kumar BC’s paper was focused on the topic of database system and sustainable development goal related to the health. National Insurance Board chair associate-professor Uma Shankar Prasad, associate professor Rajendra Karki, professor Dr Sujan Babu Marhattha and Khim Bahadur Khadka presented the views on the issues relating to health insurance and health facilities in a federal structure. Lecturer Chiranjibi Adhikari said the conference organised by the Faculty of Dean and School of Health and Allied Sciences, Pokhara University was attended by 160 people. It was supported by the University Grants Commission. The experts concerned exchanged views on the communicable and non-communicable diseases, health, nutrition and health insurance.
