Discussion on amendment in labour agreement

Kathmandu, July 25 Minister for Labour Gokarna Raj Bista and UAE Ambassador to Nepal Saeed Hamdan Alnaqbi on Tuesday discussed about matters relating to amendment of the labour agreement with the UAE.
On the occasion, Minister Bista said that formation of a joint committee would help make the selection of Nepali workers going to the UAE transparent, relieving them from unnecessary fee charged by middlemen and facilitate resolution of any labour related problems. Bilateral discussion should be held to adopt appropriate ways to produce skilled labour in Nepal as per the requirement of the UAE, he added.
Stating that skilled human resource including doctors, engineers and nurse were highly paid jobs in the UAE, the UAE Ambassador to Nepal Alnaqbi also assured of his government’s support to also providing necessary assistance and collaboration to the ministry’s priority in creating employment opportunities within the country.
